Welcome to M&D Bare Kitty Studio!
We’re a creative Mom and Daughter team — the M&D behind M&D Bare Kitty Studio! . Together we create storytelling colouring books that blend imagination, creativity, and teachable themes.
Inspired by our real cat Solo the Pirate Cat's curiosity and Charlotte’s imagination, our books invite little ones to colour, explore stories, and let their creativity shine.
At Bare Kitty Studio, everything we create comes from big hearts, little hands, and curious paws.
In December 2025, only a couple of weeks after welcoming 7 year old Solo into our family, a gas line break forced us out of our home — in the middle of winter. We spent the entire day evacuated, keeping each other company in a fire truck and a police car.
This snowy day became an adventure because my daughter, Charlotte, was brave and our kitty, Solo, was curious.
After settling back into our home and reflecting on the day’s events, we asked ourselves:
What if today’s adventure became a book?
What if we brought Charlotte’s imagination to life through story and art?
That day planted the seed for our bilingual storytelling colouring books.
Charlotte’s love of rainbows became the inspiration — with each book in the series connected to a different colour.
M&D Bare Kitty Studio was born from an unexpected day, an 8-year-old’s imagination, and a tiny curious sphynx kitty that went with the flow.
Thank you for following along on this adventure with us.
What to expect from us!
Our little team is slowly bringing 8-year-old Charlotte's illustrations to life.
Because Charlotte loves rainbows, we decided to create the Solo the Pirate Cat Rainbow Series. This means there will be a storytelling colouring book for each colour of the rainbow.
Once the books are ready, they'll be available for purchase on Amazon.
